Bio

When you hire Tew Law Firm, you will be represented zealously and honestly. I do not promise impossible results to sign up clients; I give you my honest opinion and appraisal of your situation. I have the experience and knowledge to review and analyze medical records for signs of abuse and neglect, and I always give my clients my honest appraisal of their case. I do not accept cases that do not have merit.

As an attorney licensed by Texas for 27 years and a physician licensed by Texas for 41 years, I know neglect and malpractice when I see it. I can depose any opposing medical expert who attempts to change facts or misrepresents the standard of care.

I have vast experience as a trial attorney and have faced some exceptional adversaries; however, it is my thoroughness and meticulous attention to detail that sets me apart from many of the others. I prepare a case with the same thoroughness that I used to diagnose and treat patients. When I represent you, I am always prepared and ready to protect your interests to the fullest extent.

Legal Experience

I have been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1992. As a trial lawyer, I have been lead counsel in many cases involving medication overdoses, incorrectly connected IV pumps, birth injuries, spinal injuries, broken hips and limbs, serious traumatic brain injuries, physical abuse, and sexual assault.

I have successfully tried cases involving nursing home neglect, bedsores, brain injuries, and bone fractures that resulted from preventable falls or abuse. I have also tried cases involving complex personal injury, traumatic brain injuries, defective medical products, and medical malpractice in Texas, Georgia, Arkansas, and Florida.

Medical Experience

I have been licensed to practice medicine in Texas since 1978 and began practicing as Director of Emergency Services at a Houston-area hospital in 1979. Additionally, I was the Medical Director of a nursing home. I know the standard of care that elderly residents are supposed to receive. Elder abuse is never acceptable, and those who commit it must be held accountable. I have spent the past two decades representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice cases involving elder injured by nursing home abuse and neglect.
